Praised for her “seraphically poignant” artistry (Bachtrack) and “bright and buoyant” singing (Houston Chronicle), soprano Erika Baikoff is fast emerging as one of the most compelling lyric voices of her generation.
As a member of the Bayerische Staatsoper ensemble, she makes role debuts as Pamina Die
Zauberflöte and Najade Ariadne auf Naxos, while reprising Zerlina Don Giovanni and Gretel Hänsel und Gretel, a role she also performs at Ópera de Oviedo. She also tours Europe with La Cetra Barockorchester Basel as Ginevra Ariodante.
On the concert stage, she performs Mozart’s Requiem with the Bavarian Radio Symphony
Orchestra, Ravel’s Shéhérazade with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Mahler’s Fourth
Symphony with the Bremer Philharmoniker, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater at Amsterdam’s
Concertgebouw, and Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra Pamplona. A passionate recitalist, Baikoff appears at Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, Heidelberg Festival, Schubertíada Villabertran, the Wiener Konzerthaus, Lincoln Center, and London's Wigmore Hall.
Recent career highlights include debuts at Theater an der Wien (Veremonda Ambleto), Houston Grand Opera (Zerlina), Palm Beach Opera (Four Heroines Les Contes d’Hoffmann) and in concert with Rotterdam Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony, and SWR Stuttgart.
An alumna of the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Program, Opéra National de Lyon Studio, and Verbier Festival, she is a first prize winner of the Helmut Deutsch Liedwettbewerb and the Concours international de chant-piano Nadia et Lili Boulanger. From the 2025/26 season, she is a BBC New Generation Artist.
